My younger son, Gavin and I went on a trip last week on the Maid of the Forth which left South Queensferry and sailed under the three Forth Bridges. We were amazed at just how beautiful the experience was. We waved at workmen swinging below the Forth Rail Bridge, we sailed so close to Inchcolm Abbey we could see its carvings and stonework, we saw oil tankers from the Congo load up with oil from the North Sea and we saw seals basking in the sun, lying lazily on a buoy. It was crackin'! It really was.
